So, I am looking for the part # or part I need to replace one of the engine cover mounts for my R-Class.
I asked the local dealer, and they couldn't find it in the parts diagram..
Without it, the engine cover had rubbed a hole in the inlet manifold...
Missing Not Missing
It was missing when I bought the car, and I didn't give it much thought until I noticed there was a hole in the inlet manifold. I easily repaired the hole, but it's not exactly good for the engine health to have a hole past the air filters and map sensor...
Forgot to mention, it's an OM642 Diesel with 265 hp stock.And, the peg thingy is attached to the lid of the air-filter box.

I wish I had an answer for you, though I have the same problem with a car that’s new to me. I have none, did you manage to find a solution?

I made a new one out of sheet metal and some rebar. + a bit of welding and grinding. It's currently -28.5c outside, and I simply do not want to mess with opening the hood etc when it's this cold.
