As I am a new Mercedes, first Mercedes, owner here. My 2011 R350 Bluetech needs new headlight Assembly. I've been doing some searching & there isn't much out there. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Wheel liners have to be removed as well as the front bumper. It's not a bad job to do. Take a look at the wiring inside the headlight----if the insulation is questionable, you might wanna change out both lights. I suggest getting a subscription to ALLDATA DIY. Having it will save you a lot of time, trouble and $$$. Also get yourself a good scanner for MB's. Good luck with your R class.
Do both lights at the same time. I replaced both of mine in my 2010 R350 with new stock full light assemblies sold to me by a guy who had intended to replace his own but sold the car before he could get around to it. Great bargain. Watch this forum and eBay. But the best lamps you can find - the brighter lights don't last as long but you'll need the practice to get the bulbs seated correctly. I am still trying to get my new ones in the correct position as no one here offers headlight aiming anymore.
on my 08 R350, I installed new headlights. I didn't know exactly how to put the bumper back on the fender with that metal bracket and there was this white clip/plastic piece that I ended up breaking. It seems like it's necessary to get the most flush fit on the tip end of the fender.
I'd like to get a replacement and install it but I can't find the part number on the part and in any diagrams anywhere.
