High Pressure Diesel Pump
I have a 2006 R class 320 which has been standing for some time and now won't start. She cranks but doesn't fire. I had a mobile tech out yesterday and diagnosed no increase in pressure at the pump.
Along with a ridiculous hourly rate for labour he quoted me £1400 to replace. I can get a refurbished pump for £300. Is this a job I can do myself? Does it require any special tools and are there any things I should know/do before I start
Any help/advice would be appreciated
Many thanks
Elwyn
