Parts availability and long-term viability
Let's make the assumption that one were able to find one of these things that one wanted to own, and that one were able to get one's hands on it for a tolerable price.
Could I expect that the necessary mechanical, service, trim, etc. bits necessary to keep the thing on the road for the long term will continue to be available? Does anyone have a breakdown as to how many of the bits are unique to the R63?
I've got no direct experience with MB product, but I've dealt with a variety of other makes from BMW (generally quite good) to Ford (if it's anything out of the ordinary you'll be lucky to score a power steering hose after five or six years.)
