trailer hitch

Anyone install a trailer hitch on their R63? Don't know if it's possible with the diffuser there...

I can show you how it is on my car...I bought the draw tite one for an R500 with Pano roof, I had to chop the ends down to fit the quad exhaust. I didn't really care about chopping it because all i'll be using it for is a bike rack.

I know a while back when i was considering it, in other parts of the world they offer the tow kit, so you may think about contacting benzNL. Do a search on him if you don't already know of him. It is pricey to go the OEM route though. Guessing +$1500 easy

Thanks for the tip David... I'll look into the R500 draw tite. I looked at the car today and realized that there isn't a diffuser back there... don't know what I was thinking lol. It's just a plastic cover back there and I wouldn't feel bad cutting into it. I'm located in Burlingame.

well, I'm in Palo Alto

I rarely drive the wife's car, but I'll try and snap some pics of it.

The plastic diffuser thing, cuts with just heavy duty scissors, and the Draw tite kit comes with instructions, so it's kinda easy, just takes time, have to remove the bumper actually. Good luck!

dude, i just ran across this CL add $100 !

Cgymb- no I never got around to trying to install a hitch... Sold my trailer so I don't have a need for the hitch right now. I did just buy a roof cargo box (thule atlantis 2100) which has worked out well for long trips...
