My R 63 AMG
hi all,
here are photos of my R 63 AMG.
It was built in 01/2007 with full equipment and I bought it 08/2008 with 27000 km. It is the short version. I have painted the color of the grille into body-color with chrome trim and have painted the wheels in platinum gray. Also, I have replaced the chrome bars around the side windows afford by black. It comes with the option driver package, so it runs about 280 km/h. Its the short Version.

Your car looks great. I love that it is full option. Some of my favorite features are your ventilated front seats and your sonnenschutzrollo.
Did you change the trim on your door panels from aluminum to black color? Is it black wood?
I noticed you have the button for the standalone heater. Do you use that function?
It is the button second to the right. This option was never offered in US but I see you have the button for it so it interests me.

I haven't changed the panels, they were ordered by factory. They are made of black ash.
Yes, I use the heater. If I go on the road in winter in a hotel, I program it , when I want to pull out, the car is warm and the windows freely.
At home, it profit me nothing, since I live on a small island and the car is on the mainland.
I hope my english is not too bad and you can understand it ....

Thanks for the reply. That's very neat to have that feature. When I changed to ventilated seats, I replaced the switch to include the stand alone heater in case I want to add that in the future. But it doesn't get cold enough here to warrant that (seldom goes below 0 degrees centigrade).
Your English is great. Certainly much better than my German!
I love the ash interior trim on your car. It was never offered in the United States. All of ours were Burlwood. It looks very nice on your car.
Please take a look at my car. The link is on my signature.
