wtf...can that be? The dealer is telling me I have a $3500 bill coming if I want to repair my rusted ac lines! Please help ...anyone else having the same issue? Or had?

I had an expensive repair the other day on my R63 which was about $3000 for some intake part alone. I asked the dealer to ask Mercedes Corporate if they would cover a portion of the part. Ultimately MBusa paid one third, the dealer kicked in a third and I paid a third - which saved me $2000.

I had to replace the evaporator on mine. About 3K. This is after I had the all the AC seals etc replaced as that was suspecting to cause the issue, but there was still a freon smell coming out of the vents. The evaporator was leaking. At least the vehicle is in excellent shape at this point.
