Shifter stalk problem on my 2007 R63.. Sometimes won't shift??

Posted this in the w251 forums as well but was told to post here too.

I have a 2007 R63. Every once in a while I have a shifter stalk problem (or at least I think it's the stalk). I start the car and try to put it in drive but nothing happens. I push the shifter stalk down to engage drive but it stays in park. I have to shut the car off and then back on again for the shifter to work. I've already had the shifter stalk replaced once but this still happens once every 30 times. The R shifts just fine once its driving so Im assuming the transmission is ok.

Any suggestions?

Could be battery.
Happened to me & all it was was a weak battery. I did not complain. :-)
