There are
several for sale at the moment: 1 in the U.S., 1 in the UK, and several in Europe and Switzerland. Several of the cars that come up on the link are not actually R63s. The link includes two E Class (listed as R63s), and an R500 with R63 badges in Bulgaria (listed twice). There is also one in Spain that claims to be an actual R63, but it doesn't have the quad exhaust, so . . . The prices range from $18,000 to $46,000, quite a big difference! Many of these have been on the market for a while, which is an indication that they may be overpriced for the current market. I bought mine several months ago for about $19,000 (in Sweden - it had 74,500 miles on it). I think that the actual market value at the moment is $20,000 to $25,000 depending on condition, options, and mileage. I can't see prices dropping below $20,000, except perhaps for high mileage examples or R63s with mechanical or body work needed (mine was in pretty good shape, but needed about $1500 of work to get it into good shape). I think they will stay at this price point for a few years, then start to go back up (this is a totally subjective impression - time will tell). Anyway, that's my hope.
The R63 has a following, but it is still relatively small. Most collectors would rather buy a sexy two seater sports car, than an overweight six seater minivan. Most of the people interested in buying an R63 would prefer to buy a sports car, but they need more than 2 or even 4 seats.
