R63 Suspension Parts Hard to Find

R63 Suspension Parts Hard to Find
Over the winter, cold weather had my front suspension drop into the fender. So decided to bite the bullet and order new front air struts:
In Canada, no longer available. Germany 0 stock. Luckily, oemvehicleparts.com found me 2 at a lower price than the dealers. This online company is the best I’ve worked with.I have ordered different parts for various cars and they are great to work with. The best!
But I digress: R63 parts are getting harder and harder to find. Our air suspension regardless of mileage will age/crack over time particularly the air springs attached to the front strut and rear. My car only has 20,000km and they failed due to age cracks, not mileage.
Arnott is now assembled with Chinese parts in the USA and they are failing left and right. Anyways, they don’t even make a specific variant for our R63.
Bilstein B3/B4 parts for our car is also back ordered or out of stock. Most online sellers say they are in stock, but this is not the case. Also, the fitnent for their struts/springs is for ALL Rclass and nothing specific to the R63.
For those of you keeping your cars for the foreseeable future, my advice is to order suspension parts while you still can.
I’m going to order the rear AMG struts to install as well. The rear air bags are the same part number as the other Rclass models.
R63 uses specific AMG struts with different valving so ensure you order using your VIN.

Rear AMG shocks and OE Bilstein Air Springs
So, received the rear factory AMG shocks…specific valving for the R63. Bilstein makes the air springs for Mercedes and it is not specific to the R63; same part number for all R with ADS.
