new to me 97 s500
i just got a 97 s500 coupe that has been sitting for a few years. i am changing the fluids and was wondering if when i change the oil should i add anything like additives while i change the oil a few times? most times when i am doing this i add sea foam before i change it the first time and then 500 miles later i do the same then change as usual. any oil that i should use that would be best for this?

I would change ALL the fluids, engine oil / filter, radiator flush & fill with new coolant, trans including torque converter & new filter, diff, Power steering & brake flush and fill. As far as additives go, do not use anything, they will just dislodge sludgy oil deposits etc that will cause issue in oil galleries etc. Do another full set of fluid changes / filter changes after 500 miles & you should be good to go back to normal service intervals. Modern premium oils have excellent detergent packages built into them, no need for additives / cleaners like sea-foam etc.
