W140 VS C140
So at the moment, I have a 99' Base Model W140 but have fell no doubt in love with the C140 and in my OP, I think it looks hell sexier than the New S Coupe. I just love the goofy headlights and rear on that beast. And was thinking. Money's not really the issue here. I really want a C140 with full packages on it but in NYC it's rare to find one for sale. Expecially the S500 or S600.

well no doubt a C140 is a nice car but sorry man its nowhere near a comparison to a new S-Class coupe... (and this is coming from a previous C140 owner)

The C140 is sleeker than the W140 sedan. We also previously owned a C140, and although the new S Coupe is gorgeous...we could understand why you prefer the C140.
What we'd love to see is a full headers and cat-back exhaust system for the C140. That would really open the car up.

I've driven both the sedan and coupe, and still have the S500 coupe and it is an enjoyable cruiser that I plan on keeping until it dies. The coupe is quicker and for its size easy to handle on curvy or wet roads. Finding a C140 with a full option package will be easier if you find an S600 (everything except Nav was standard) 96-99. If cost isn't an option you may want to search in CA or look in the MBUSA adds as there is always one for sale, of course do a PPI.
