Thanks SoCal. I think yours will age well too. I like your body style better than the new CLKs.

Wald Body kit

Not bad for around $2800US. Less than the Lorinser/AMG pieces with a more aggressive look in the front.

I really like the look and lines with the Wald kit and found someone local to do it for me. My wife just came in my office and saw the picture of the completed Wald kit on the car that Zin posted. Her first comment was that it looks like my teenage neighbors tricked out Honda. This kind of took me back because I thought it looked hot 'n' classy at the same time.

Since I'm 30 now and really have no desire to re-visit my teen years, what do you guys think?

Any other female perspectives on the Wald Kit look?

Funny, my wife had the exact same reaction! I do like it though. Maybe it's a guy vs. girl thing?

Any ladies care to comment?

Going back to the OEM 6 hole 16". The 18's are too stiff for my liking.

Rubber more befitting of a 600

Those 16's were to loose for me in the curves so I upgraded to 20's too. 20x8.5 and 20x10's with 255/35 and 285/30 PS2's. The view of the tire width from the rear of the car looks awesome!! The Wald body kit and a Lorinser wing will give it a complete look.

12 Play,

Nice!

Definitely post pictures when you put the body kit and wing on - I'd really like to see that!

Talking WHOA....Japanese on German is a no go

Hey guys I always look for posts on the W140 coupe as they are so rare (just like the car) and I finally saw some so I thought I might reply, not that my opinion matters....I have seen that Wald kit online and actually in person and I'll tell you its a shame AMG did not make a kit for this vehicle (the Lorinser kit has to be squeezed on and...) because the quality and fit of the Wald are iffy. Furthermore, guys, this is one of if not the rarest US production MB coupes (of course other than SLR and CLK-GTR which are all new breed anyway) within the last 20-30 years!!! dont damage the structural integrity of this beautiful vehicle with the cutting and stress need to put this Wald kit or any other kit for that matter.Although I do admit though it looks killer the funcionality and aerodynamics are questionable and the parktronic may not operate properly if tampered with (these vehicles, as you know, are ultra sensitive)...I will post my pics ASAP...please give me feedback on your opinions....Thanks

1998 CL500 Blk/Blk Every option available, Cusotm W040 Schwarz black paint (17K job)... AMG monoblock II staggered (8.5, 9.5 R) on 255/40 and 285/35 Continental Contact2's ----MINT CONDITION, Daily Driver
