2016 S Coupe
Been a while since I've been on here as I traded my '02 CL500 for an '11 Lexus LS460 back in '13. I had several problems with the CL which drove me to try a Lexus. Anyway, I'm looking at a '16 S coupe now and was wondering about their reliability, quality, etc, and also back seat leg room compared to the CL. I wouldn't want a '15 since it was the first year and the '17 is out of my budget.

My '15 S63 has been rock solid reliable. Bought it with about 9k miles as CPO and has only needed annual maintenance.
There is very little difference between '15 - '17 cars. I'd shop for lowest mileage and/or lowest price (likely a '15) on a current S Coupe, or wait for the '18 refresh and buy/lease a new one. Refresh has minimal exterior changes, reduced engine displacement albeit with minimal HP bump, along with very nice upgrades to the COMAND system, displays, and driving tech.
I never had a CL but there is very decent leg room in the rear. I'm 6'2" and my 5'10" daughter fits just fine behind me. It's a very usable rear seat unlike others like the Bentley CGT, 911, Vanquish, etc. If the S63 rear seat is not large enough, you need a sedan.

I don’t have a 16 I have a 15 Coupe.
Bought CPO has been rock solid. No issues except the touch pad is non responsive. Not a show stopper at all. Will just have it looked at the next convenient time for me.
immediate and initial impression is of smooth power. Like a jetliner, not a fighter jet at all.
rear leg room is minimal at best.

2015 S550 Coup, 2017 Golf R , 2018 BMW M2 (wifes)
I just bought a CPO 2015 20k miles one owner (but I think he did jack a wheel)- will be putting a review in shortly- LOVE the car for many reasons- but you do have to over look some things....
149k for 85k- I was going to get an RS5 and it that price- it is going to be an epic ride- but the S550 coupe is one of a kind... Problem buying used is that when you find the one you want- you better buy it or it will probably be gone.
But for what I was looking for in a car- it hits the target perfectly and without that sizable depreciation, could not afford (or want to) afford one at the 160k ish asking price new.
