ANY INFO ON WHEN THE C & A 217 WILL BE DROPPED?
Any word on when the A & C 217 will be dropped from the line-up?
The reason I ask is that I have heard that rumor for some time and the coupe & cabriolet are low volume models. Therefore, I expected
them to be dropped by now.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

No dropping at all, the MY2020 model can already be ordered from mid june
New version only minor changes:

The performance models since mid July:

Will be nice to see if the U88 AMG Drive Unit buttons can be retrofitted on a MY19 car?!
Looks cool:

THANKS
Many thanks to both of you.
I foolishly believed internet rumors that the 19' C&A would be the last years of production due to poor sales.
Consequently I bought a 19' coupe.
Lesson: Do not believe everything you read on the net.

2020 to be last year for coupe &cabriolet
Just received a "Yahoo Alert" about the 2020 Frankfurt/M-B presentation.
The sedan will continue in the long wheelbase version. However, the coupe and cabriolet will be discontinued after 2020..
We shall see.

Seems to be a staggered phase out with S65 production ending after 2019, and probably cabriolet ending after 2020. Some have said the coupe may continue production in S560/S63 form into the next decade in low numbers, with no replacement from the W223 platform forthcoming.
I do think or at least hope a high end coupe will always be atop the Mercedes offerings. Perhaps the A217 will be merged into the SL replacement as a 2+2 soft top, and the C217 will eventually be replaced by something completely new, maybe derived from the Vision 6 concept... which would be incredible but likely exceedingly expensive and many years away.
