Reliability S63 vs S560

Reliability S63 vs S560
Any comments on this comparison. They don't have to be current year models. The ‘15’s and up is good. The main reason I ask is that I was told by a MB warranty guy that you can't get a aftermarket warranty on the S63. I assume he means they won't touch them.

thought you'd get some feedback by now! I had the same information from my dealer. Only the original owner can secure an AMG extended? I bit the bullet and purchased the warranty when I could (maybe it was a scare tactic). I have to think that the S63 should be as good or better from a reliability standpoint if...IF you drive it with equal care and prudence as you would the S550.. I suspect a number of buyers run the S63 hard or harder leading to possible premature wear and tear. I don't drive my vehicles hard at all and probably never will. Just enjoy the extra grunt and performance of the car and the ego/knowledge that I have an AMG. So, since I'm getting over 20mpg overall since I first started following these stats, i suspect I may never know or reach the true limits of the car. Hence I would like to think it will last longer than a typical S coupe....but then again...who knows....

Thanks for the response. Ended up with a '16 S550 coupe, bought last month, white on black designo. BION, spent 22 mos. looking. Very few of the CPO's around in S.FL and many trashed. The S63's are obviously harder to find. I wanted a CPO as the non CPO's are pretty much the same price. Didn't get the extended warranty as these cars seem pretty reliable when checking Carfaxes. May pick it up later depending on if the car has problems.
