Went down a steep driveway and a 1/3 of front bumper lip got damaged
Mercedes wants $3400 for a new one. The issue is only the bottom lip of the bumper is broken. The front bumper itself is just fine and intact. I have seen some OEM replacements ranging anywhere from $500-$1000. Is there anything I should be concerned about when purchasing these suckers online? Any help regarding this matter would be deeply appreciated. I'm trying to get this done while I'm away on business for a week.
Should I just get the whole bumper

or the little sliver of a lip. That's the part that's actually broken

OK so you have a s550? what year?
Do you have the amg style pkg.It is a different bumper.
And the chrome parts (3 of them are separate) But I cant answer further until you say what car you have. .

If the actual bumper is damaged behind chrome trim, bumper needs replacement. If you are not sure trim is easily removed without removing bumper to inspect carefully pry it off. Post VIN I will supply correct part #s for bumper & trim to shop online of course bumper will need to be painted.
