Changing the starter battery
Hi,
I have to change my starter battery in my s coupe. Does anyone have instructions as to how to do it or should I take it to the dealer?

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
as I understand, it will set off codes. I dont know anything else. You might try it. Unlock the doors with your key. go put the key 30-50- ft away. Let the car sit for a while, 30min. then change it. dont touch anything else in the process. See what happens.

It’s like any other battery change. Put 12v source on remote terminals under the hood on passenger side, remove trunk rear partition, remove positive and negative battery cables, negative cable first first, remove and replace battery. Remove 12 v source under hood. The hardest part is wrestling with the 50+ pound batteries.
