2017 S500 Coupe
wheel choice

Hello
I'm collecting a 2017 S500 coupe next week - there is a set of 20" Vossen wheels, dark grey currently on the car. They look well with the black exterior.
However the garage can also offer the original wheels -19" AMG. I feel like the originals may be better in terms of re-sale, and possibly more comfortable on bumps too (bad roads here).
What do you guys think?
I'll try post pics.
thanks

I agree with what you say about the original 19 inch wheels. However, I have 20 inch AMG wheels on my '16 coupe and really like them.

GLE450 AMG + C43 AMG 4Matic T + MiniCooperS + Volvo S40
In summer my S500 Cabriolet is fitted with original AMG wheels with 245/40 R 20” front and 275/35 R 20” in the rear with Pirelli P Zero.

For the winter season I have got smaller original AMG rims with 245/45 R 19” both front and rear with Pirelli WInter Sottozero 3.

The large wheels/tyres belong to the original AMG package option fitted in my car.

There is a noticeable difference in noise and comfort in favour of the winter set notwithstanding the harder rubber.

Certainly this is a consequence of bigger wheels.

Evidently when driving briskly summer wheels cope much better in traction and handling.

But we have to be realistic: the coupé and the cabriolet are not real sports car, sort of Porsche 911 !

These are beautiful cars with great power, great comfort but heavy and cumbersome.

True Gran Turismo cars, I feel that we should follow the 1950’s Jaguar advertisement that stated: Grace, Space and Pace.

Therefore my advice would be: go for the 19” !
