Measuring Engine Oil Level

Recently, while driving the car, I scrolled to my Center screen message center to check on tire pressure, coolant level, and service interval. Everything appeared normal, except when it came to the screen for engine oil level. Now, there is no barrel gauge indicating oil level, there is just an on-going message stating "Measuring Engine Oil Level..." That's it. No matter how long I'm driving, the system won't tell me engine oil level, it just continues to flash this message. It has been doing it for over a week now.

What am I missing here? If I go to this screen with the engine off, it says, "To check engine oil level, please start vehicle". Which I proceed to do, but then this message appears.

Any incite is appreciated.

I believe the car needs to be warm and level and the engine needs to be off but with ignition energized.
