Apologies if this is a stupid question

I just picked up a 2019 S560 Coupe and love the car. The dealer replaced the battery before I picked it up, and the sunroof doesn't open. In reviewing some videos, apparently the roof is fixed yet the manual says the roof opens (which would make sense and would be preferable obviously). The sunshade does open and close but the roof does not. Is the sunroof fixed on this car? If so, this would be only downside I've found.

I do not know if MBZ made a change for 2019 but my 2016 roof is fixed. It doesn't open, only the sunshade moves on mine.

I have owned a 2019 S560 since new and yes, the sunroof is fixed.

I get that the roof is fixed but why did they install a shade button and a roof opening button (2x buttons) for ****s and giggles to tease us! lmao

On my car both buttons operate the shade. As you say, perhaps they were doing that to tease us...

The 2nd button is for Magic Sky roof tinting when you have that option.

Fixed roof. And as someone else stated if you have the magic sky option one button controls that the other controls the shade. I too wondered why they couldn't at least make the sunroof slide on top of the roof. I get it's too big to retract into the roof given the coupes size.
