About to purchase A217 porcelain interior

Hi,
Old member and different car. I have had 2 new Mercedes with porcelain interiors. One stayed pretty clean. The other had to have a seat replaced Due to tattering and staining at 10,000 miles. I’m about to get a 2020 S cabriolet and it seems that none of the porcelain seats hold up well. Even the low milage cars. Any solutions for this or just avoid porcelain? Has anyone replaced theirs of gotten a high quality cover?

Thank you,

Roy

I didnt know that was a optional color. You just have to keep it clean. Get some leather protector coating. There arent any seat covers to fit.

It has been my observation that this vintage S Class the porcelain seats look very deteriorated in a short period of time.

I learned from owning light colored and black interiors, that black stands the test of time vs others.

Haven't had a lick of trouble in 4 years.... still looks as new. I do make it a habit of keeping the inside clean and moving the seat back so the bolster doesn't get excessive wear from my "Levis". I also have a 93 W124 with black interior it is finally starting to show wear. Bottom line, if you're easy on entry and exit and keep the seats well treated, you should have nominal wear regardless of color.
