Inline subwoofer interface wiring harness. We need one!
I swear, if a company would develop one of these inline sub rca interfaces for our cars, I would have a ball. All of our radio interface outputs are accessible through the lower rear deck and the back-half of the center console. We just need for someone enterprising to tackle the task. I'd like to add an additional trunk based amp & subwoofer instead of having my doors create all the sound system's bass

Nothing special
I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but I've had numerous subs in just about all of my cars Mercedes or otherwise. I don't do the install but my backyard mechanic audio guy has never had an issue. If I recall I think he disconnects the factory amp and outs in aftermarket Alpine. I guess my point is I don't think he's ever done anything unique to get it going.

Bass is routed to the front door bass drivers in the Burmeister surround system. This isn't easily accessible to tap-wires or defeat the amp by replacing it with an aftermarket amp. Every car I've owned was easier to work on that this and your installer friend may agree. But thank you for your response
