Hi there!
I just purchased a '15 S 550 Coupe (with a July 2014 build date and a very early VIN). Only 60K miles. And it's rather well-equipped, too. I am aware of the Silitec cylinder-lining coating, which my car unfortunately has. I was not aware of, and did not anticipate, the horrible fuel smell I'm getting when inside the cabin, and outside the car. Here's what I can say:
Has anyone else had this issue?

I am aware of the Silitec cylinder-lining coating, which my car unfortunately has. I was not aware of, and did not anticipate, the horrible fuel smell I'm getting when inside the cabin, and outside the car. Here's what I can say:
- The smell is potent outside the car for as many as 12 hours after it's last been driven, and is currently stinking up my entire garage
- The smell is drawn into the cabin by the HVAC system. I smell it strongly in the cabin when using the HVAC in normal mode, faintly in recirc. mode, and not at all if the HVAC is off and all the windows are shut
- I'm getting normal fuel economy, so I doubt there's a leak in the tank
- There are no malfunction-indicator lights present
Has anyone else had this issue?

dont know what it is, but it can be any of the fuel system lines and connections leaking. I had the same thing with a fuel pump gasket
They can see it, or use a smoke test to finf it

It ended up being that the fuel pump had a pin***** hole in the plastic, and has been spraying fuel everywhere. So that's being fixed.
