I am considering a complete repaint of my black coupe.
I really like the color of the first picture, but can't determine which one it is.
Is it really the 992 Selenite Gray? It looks so different, depending on the amount of sunlight...
Looks good, I believe I heard Palladium Silver was discontinued since Selenite Grey replaced it for model year 2016 cars, not sure if that was accurate.
I meant Palladium silver I think they discontinued it.
Its my favorite color. I had 3 cars that color
The car in your pic is palladium.
The car in your pic is clearly darker than OP's pic though hence why it looks more to be Selenite Grey. As well as, that is the facelift C217 S-Coupe, which was revealed as 2018 model year in 2017.
Palladium Silver as from what I heard was discontinued before that, so the likelihood of that colour appearing on the facelift is minimal. The way I am able to identify the image as the facelift is because it has the OLED taillights and the headlights are different, and there were optional Swarovski crystal which that image also has.
Honestly, since OP is not buying a new S coupe looking for this colour, OP only wanted to paint the vehicle, they could get which colour they want anyways : ) discontinued or not.
That said, I could be completely wrong and that you have the facelift just didn't option the crystal headlights and still got the colour. Thanks for confirming.

I have a S63 in the color of the first car. It's Palladium Silver 792.
I think it's the best silver color Mercedes makes. It is distinctly different and much more elegant at the same time aggressive color for the car. Highly recommend you protect it with full PPE after the paint is FULLY cured (full cure takes a lot longer than 48 hours, likely a month), and you'll be set. It will look like new for a long time :-)
I did the following as well:
Ceramic Pro ION - 7 Year Warranty (Coupe/Sedan)
1 layer of Ceramic Pro ION Basecoat Applied •
1 layer of Ceramic Pro ION Topcoat Applied
Ceramic Tint - Full Car (Coupe) Lifetime Warranty •
Ceramic Pro Ultimate IR Ceramic Tint • 99.9% UV Protection with SPF500 and up to 98% IR Rejection • Includes: Front Windshield + All Side Windows + Rear Windshield Tinted
Folks at Dynamic Detailing in Santa Clara, CA are professionals and did an amazing job.
I particularly love the tint, 55% all glass. It actually blocks UV AND IR and keeps the car a lot cooler.
Good luck
