I'm going to paint the pre-facelift 2016 satin-finish section of the front emblem wing to mimic the factory E class's look.
Do you have to remove the front bumper to get this wing/emblem section off for painting?

Just FYI, from experience, that grill/surround is a chrome-like plastic. Paint doesn't adhere to it well. So it WILL chip very easily from rock chips. 100% guaranteed. So I'd strongly recommend PPFing it (after the paint cures by 30 days) to prevent that from happening. Otherwise, you'll be touching it up endlessly.
Thank you so much! I had it actually liquid-wrapped so it's not paint. They prepped that plastic satin finish section, Gloss liquid wrap is so good looking.
