Apart from the bigger engine and four-wheel-drive, are there other dramatic differences between these two models.
I’m currently driving a 2017 S550 and unlike most of my four wheel other cars in the past this one tends to screech a bit with a quick takeoff.

In 2018 there was a “facelift” that changed engines in the S560 to one with slightly more horsepower and better gas mileage. Inside the dash and controls were upgraded and Apple CarPlay added. I bought a 2019 Cab a year ago with 6,000 miles, and it has been a delight. It is called the Exclusive Edition, which came with unique paint and trim.
The greatest differences are going to be raw power, stiffness of the suspension and 2-wheel vs. all-wheel drive. Oh! And cost of service & parts! AMG is big-bucks $ but definitely worth it in this instance.
