1980 300SD…..drain hole????
Hello All,
Have an issue and need some input.
My 1980 300SD (W116 body) is gathering water in the fuel filler area. Whenever it rains and I open the fuel door there is water that isn’t draining. So, is there a drain hole in the area where I fill up your car? If so, I guess mine is plugged. How do I unplug it so it drains?

There is normally a little hole for "overflow" or water or whatever. Get a kind thick, but thin enoguh to bend in a circle pole, metal of some kind. shove it down the hole. double check to make sure its a straight shot and doesnt go into your fuel tank and break something. But I think it just drains out the bottom of the car.
