280SE 4.5: Need advise: pros and cons
Hello Chaps,
It has been a very long time since I posted in any MB forum.
I have been thinking of purchasing a 1972 280 SE 4.5. My MB mechanic warned me not to buy a 280 regardless of its condition but he is a very picky guy and does not like much older models.
I need advise on reliability, parts availability and price. For example, are 280 parts more expensive than 560s, what are the pros and cons? It is to be used as a daily driver not for shows.
I'm fully aware that you get what you pay for but what do you think about this one, it is a high mileage car but looks very nice. I could send someone from the MBCA Eastern Region Section.
