maybe some of you can help

new to this part of the bored i am on the W124 bored

i have found a 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280SE - $1750
i think this is a good deal i have driven the car to runs well but blows some smoke from time to time. hers a link to it down at the bottom

i figure it is worth way more then what the guy is asking for it

what im wondering is if i were to buy it how much do you think i could sell it for
i have a feeling of why more then the guy is asking for it
any in put is welcome

the main reason i would like to buy this one is becuz i know it is worth more than asking price. i figure i could sell it and fix up my 260E i know the 260E is a rare model and i would love to restore it after all it has done for my family.

sorry for spelling stuff got work in 20 min

You think your car has problems? This thing is 35 years old. It's done, unless you want to rebuild it from the ground up. I'd give $800 for it, maybe. Even so, you're just going to end up in the same boat you're in now. If I were you, I'd get something that will get you to work and back for a couple of years, and then buy another W124. It's the best. Remember?

sadly im not going to buy another W124 after what i have been throw. this one needs new piston rings. from when i talked to the guy

if my car did not need to be smoged i would keep my w124 the one part i need that costs so much for it is what has been keeping it from passing smog
