72 280SEL 4.5 dies at stop lights, stops
Hi,
I gotta 72 280sel 4.5 which idles just fine in park or neutral, but dies when its in drive. If i come to a stop sign or stop light it just bogs out and dies. But if I keep the car in motion it switches through the gears just fine. So the tranny isn't dead yet. I thought maybe it was stuck in 3rd gear, but its not. Because if the car is about to die when comming to a light, I can give it gas and it start from first gear and cycle through the gears normally.
any ideas what it maybe?
