Post 300sd transmission kickdown solenoid wire

I'm on the last leg of my rebuild and hooking up trans wires, green to kick-down solenoid and the other brown and black back to pressure sensor on back of tranny. Does anyone know if the green wire going to the Kd soleniod is supposed to be hot with key in the run possition, on all the time seems od, I have checked the Kd switch under the pedal and no power at either wire, it seems to be a on off type system but not familiar if it is controlled by the box on pass side kick panel. some thoughts on how it works, thanks in advance in Alaska not much knowledge here
