New w116 owner! Trying to get it started after a long rest.

The story…
I recently purchased a 1979 450sel 6.9. This car has been sitting in a garage for about 20 years. The car was running with relatively low miles when it was driven last.

The owner of the car contracted with a local dealership to get the car running and sold. The dealer had some items worked on.

Items repaired/replaced
Fuel tank remove and “cleaned by a radiator shop”
New tank sediment filter
New fuel pump
New fuel filter
Fuel lines flushed

What I was told:
I was told that after all of this work the car was driving. They attempted to drive it to an auction, but it died along the way and has not stayed running since. Obviously people say things to get good prices, so I don’t know if this is true or not.

Problem:
The car will not start. Sometimes, it will rev up and run for about 1-2 seconds.

What I have looked at so far…
- It will run on carburetor cleaner, so I assume the electrics are working.
- I have opened the fuel line @ the fuel distributor to make sure fuel is pumping when the engine is turning over.
- When I cracked the line @ the fuel distributor it sprayed in a way that would show the fuel was under pressure.

What do I do next?
I am not sure what the next direction is. Any help or advice you can give would be great.
