AC Recharge

AC Recharge
I've got a 73 450SE that needs a recharge on the AC. It's not dead but it's not cold either. I do NOT want to change to R134. Does anyone offer a recharge kit so I can top up with R12 that is currently in there? Thanks.

YOu mean the actual refridgerant R12?
Call a local house AC repair guy.
you will pay thru the nose for it as it is EXPENSIVE stuff today.
THey tend to keep some on hand to recharge old systems that are still working.

R12 is relatilvely easy to do. I run it in all my older cars. I will not convert to 134 as it doesn't work as well as R12. Search around locally, may take a few phone calls before you find someone who can do it for you. I wound up just buying a few bottle of the stuff.
