What is a good High Speed Tire in 15" ?
hi guys.,
I am looking for a good high speed tire in a 15".
when I say high speed., i mean cruising at 140 or 150mph.
i live in the desert and i can cruise high speed often.
i currently have some Pirelli Cinturato 3000's.. I think they are only rated at about 112Mph.
thanks,
Kevin

There are no Z-rated tires available that I saw on a quick search of tirerack.com, but there were a couple of V-rated tires I would not hesitate to recommend:
1) Michelin Pilot Primacy
2) Pirelli P6000 SV
3) Dunlap SP Sport 01 A

In stock configuration (205-65-15), there is not much. There are Z-rated 15 inch tires in 205-50-15 and 205-55-15 (the Pilot Exalto PE2), but you want to make sure you get the correct load rating.
You may consider a plus one wheel/tire combo if you are planning on aggressive driving.

I downgraded to a VW, it's still German though
You can get a V rating which is fine. That is up to 149mph. Don't change the tire height too much, or it throws the speedo off. Going with a 2xx/50 or 55 would make it far off. I suggest going with some 16'' or 17'' if your serious. 15'' sizes are ancient. I have problems getting the stock 14'' size I need. Make sure you get a temp rating of A or better. Hot desert and high speed equals super hot tires.

i have the pirelli p6000 on m 99 c230k, i am currently on stock 15 rims and this tire is supperior to the rest, i have gone through countless goodyear, mich, firestone ect. and this tire sticks, does not break loose too often, unless i turn esp off, and i beat them up on turns and there is no abnormal wear, to add my car is in dire need of an alighnment and the tires still hold up, i am more then pleased with them
