Brake bleeding on 560 SL????

Having trouble bleeding brakes on 1987 560 SL-- Hard braking caused loss of fliud. Master cyl was leaking on booster and I replaced the m/c after bench bleeding. Rear brakes will not bleed (it has ABS). Tried disconnecting battery cable and using Mighty Vac brake bleeder, no results. Tried it with someone pumping pedal and bleeding conventional way with -cable unhooked--my confidence is dwindling. Does it need to be power bled or pulse ABS unit? Does anyone have any ideas for me? this is my wife's car and she wants to drive it while summer is still here!

Several Items to look at..

You stated that the replacement master cylinder WAS Bench Bleed
With the fluid topped off?

Did You Bleed the Master cylinder on the car at the lines to the master cylinder?

Inspect the rear brake flex hoses..seen SEVERAL collapse inside from age

As the flex hoses are overlooked when repairs are done...These are a service item!

Then Use a PRESSURE Bleeder as the Vac style bleeder may NOT have enough pull to do the job
