just trying to find the best gas (name brand) to use for this car in the usa.
bp , exxon , mobil , etc...
also what type of oil is best?
20w50 , 10w40 or synthetic ?
this car has
86k miles
i have replaced the following so far :
heater valve
thermostat
idle control relay
left front caliber
besides doing the normal complete tune up and the brakes as i always do for a new used car i purchase.
also if someone could give me an idea of how much this car is worth .. im pretty sure i got a GREAT deal .. i paid only 3k and the car is spotless!

Your 500SEL
First, if the car is spotless and does not need any significant repairs, you got a great deal. If the miles are accurate, the car is all original, and it's clean and works properly, it's worth close to double what you paid. Congrats!
Oil and gas are subjective. There really isn't any "best brand" of gas. But you should get the highest octane you can afford/find, so you do not run into detonation or power/timing issues.
On oil, I think we'd all agree that full synthetic (not blend) is best. For weight, check the owner's manual and use what it recommended.
But oil is temperature sensitive, so you might use different oil viscosity/weight in winter versus summer, for example. It's more important to change the oil and filter regularly than to use one particular weight or brand.
Enjoy!

are you sure the other caliper is OK?
It is unusual for the 2 calipers to wear at different rates so if you have one new and one not so new the likelihood is you may need another one replaced soon.
As to oil use non-synthetic (heavy diesel grade mineral) if you car is leaking which I trust is. The original seals were not built for synthetics.
Check for rust and treat accordingly. If you live in the rust belt or if the car did then double check everything.
Your car sounds almost too good to be true.
