1990 420SEL Transmission Problems

My son is driving my old 420. I bought the car when it had 120K on it and have put another 110K on it with little or no problems. He called me tonight while he was a few miles from home saying the shifter was shaking violently and there was a vibration in the pedal. He got home and checked the fluid level in the transmission to find it was a little low. The fluid did not smell burned. We added a quart and drove it around the block. The car drives fine up to about 15mph, then the vibration begins. The transmission does not seem to be slipping, just vibrating. Any ideas??? It is hard to see anything right now in the dark even with a flashlight. I wondered if it could be a motor mount or something other than the tranny as well. Any one with a similar if not identical experience???

Thanks,
David

Quite a few:)
check the flex disc and do NOT drive the car until you have them checked.
