Should I buy this 380SEL

Hello I found a nice 380SEL for sale it has around 150000 miles. He put in a new timing chain, valve heads, new transmission, new interior, guide rails, a new sound system with wolfer in trunk. It is black with tint. THe paint looks great and the rims are in good condition. Is it worth 5k. From what I heard the 380SEL isn't the best of the 126 chassis.

All the 126 chassis are the same but that's the worst engine. I think the diesels have more HP and I'm sure they have more torque. I bought an '87 560SEL for $3500 about four years ago and after I rebuilt the front suspension, it has been a marvelous car.

IMHO, I'd pass on any 380 series car. $5000 will buy you a VERY nice 560SEL. Just make sure you get a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) on any Mercedes you are serious about. It will be the best $150 (or so) dollars spent.

YMMV!
