Smile 300se vs 300e 2.6

Which is better in terms of parts and quality. SO overall which will last longer? Besides the fact the the 300e uses less gas.

If you can find a 300E with the inline 6 buy that instead. The 2.6 is low on power big time, I think 160 bhp or so while the 3 liter has approximately 225 bhp. The E-Class is cheaper to maintain and a newer design.

The S-Class (W126) straight 6 is so slow and costs more to repair. Get a 560V-8 if you want this series.

The engines (M103) are identical except for displacement. Both will be equally reliable. The US market 300 SE has 177 hp. If I were to buy a 124 it would have the 3.0 L engine but I’d buy the 2.6 L if it were low miles and well cared for.
