Need help - Depo headlights
Just installed "Depo" headlights on my 1991 420SEL.Underneath the insertion point of the headlight bulb is a small socket which I believe is for the "city lights".Does anyone know the type and wattage of the lamp that goes in this socket.
I apologize for the "crappy" socket pic.

I have original Bosch units in my car, the bulbs are 12 volt, 4 watt
Though in your picture the socket looks to be a wedge type, the bulb specs should be about the same though, so 12v and around 4W/5W
My manual states the bulbs should be 4W, though that is for the Bosch lights, still this should easily be a safe wattage to run in the DEPO units
In the picture, at the top is the wedge type, they are similar to the bulbs in the instrument cluster, I think this is what you need, underneath is the type in my Bosch headlamp units

Hope this helps a little

Alright , 2 more problems
:
#1 ) "lamp out" indicator is still lit...as well as the high beam light is dimmly lit when I turn on the headlights ( low beam )
#2 ) both head light units have 5 metal posts on the back and my sockets have 4 post connection points.Has any one dealt with this problem and if so what is the remedy.

You need the euro plugs that match up with the euro headlights.
USA version headlight plugs are different than the Euro version.
