My 420 "creaks" a lot around the doors... kind of like taking off in an old L-1011....as you go down runway...all the interior plastic used to creak alot.
Is it door rubbers?
Is it vinyl door panels?
Occurs much less in colder weather and as temp heats up, like today...it is noisier. Not an annoying sound...but sometimes would like to figure out???
Somebody said to put silicone on door rubbers...didnt make a damn bit of difference
thanks for any comments

It's the vinyl of the door trim rubbing against the plastic of the door sill.
You can (like I have) run a strip of furry weatherstripping along the bottom of the door trim where it meets the door sill which will cure the noise. (furry weatherstripping is the stuff you get from the hardware shop to block draughts around your doors and windows which has self adhesive on one side, about 0.5 cm wide)
You can also cut the small lip off the door sill, which was the MB TSB fix for the problem - I just am not keen on cutting bits off my car.
