I just purchased a 1985 300CD. Is this the correct spot on this site for the car? I believe it is just like the 300SD. Would just like to get aquainted with the site.

My first challenge is to get the car equiped with air conditioning as it was built without it. Is that possible?

All Mercedes Benz imported by MBUSA at that time came standard with AC. I suspect your car is a grey import.

Both situations are not possible. The 300CD was only manufactured for the North American market, so it cannot be a Grey market car. At the same time, this means that it must have come with air conditioning from the factory. If you can supply your vin we we can get a build sheet on the car. Bottom line, it must have AC, although it may not be working properly.
