Question thinking of getting a 87 560sec

ok first of all hi and happy holidays to everybody...
Last year after i sold my 93 400sel (which i miss)...i got so impressed with mercedes that i wanna get onother one... this one is a 87 560 sec mettallic grey with the creamy yellow interior (or whatever they call it) its got 118xxx miles and the guy "says" it needs only front pads and tie rods..offcource its a 20 year old car and its man made so there is more probably... i aksed the guy he says a/c is working... the sunroof is stuck.... but the price is $1700 and its got the 16in chrome amg monoblocks..... so is it better then the 140 (realibility wise or is it the same) so what do you guys think....

It depends on how well the car was cared for. I have a 1988 560SEC, and aside from very careful care, I have had almost nothing break on the car. Of course, front suspension has to be replaced eventually, as do the nitrogen cells in the rear.

I run only synthetic fluids in my car, (engine, trans, diff), and have noticed that as long as you give the car the best, it will never let you down.
