seat motor, windows and headlamps
One of the many things that I have been putting off for a long time that has now gotten to be a rather large pain in the a$% is the passenger side seat motor not working in my '85 380SE. The motor I'm talking about is the one that moves the seat forward and backwward. It goes backwards but not forward. Everything else works just fine. It used to be that I would have to have someone sit in the back seat and push the seat while I pushed the button to make it go forward. After several attemps, it won't even budge. Only goes backwards. It's far enough back that sitting in the seat directly behind it is very uncomfortable because of the near-zero legroom.
My passenger side rear window motor is shot. Don't know if it's the motor or one of the other components inside. it goes down only half-way but makes all sorts of weird noise and then is an absolute pain to roll up.
Also, the window is very slow going up and down on the passenger side front. Could it be the regulator that's in need of servicing or replacement?
When the headlamps were replaced the technician did not align them properly so now the driver's side lamp is pointed toward the right anlong with the passenger side lamps which isn't nearly as bad. One advantage to having crooked headlights is when turning right I can see more of what's around the bend. However, turning left is just the opposite. I can't see what's around the turn on the left. I looked at the lamps last week to see if I could adjust them. There are a bunch of screws there so I decided not to mess with them until I knew what screws to adjust.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
