is it poss to change bearings in a heater motor?

do i need to buy a new one?? would rather fix mine cos ££££ getting a bit crazy.

also, does anyone want to sell me some wood trim thats in good condition??

It changes all the time
If it needs bearings, it probably has a worn armature and brushes. I'm afraid your looking at new or used, sporto.

'82 300SD, '84 500SEC
On my SD, I tried to figure how to get it apart to replace the bushings (no bearings in this thing), but found that the casing of the motor was staked or welded together, leaving no way to change them, and barely any room to change the brushes!

I'd suggest finding a used one, or buying a replacement motor. You'll occasionally find them affordably priced on ebay.

thanks dude, i thought that might b the case... tried to take it appart 2... doesnt matter now ne way cos tonight it died.. hopefullg gettn a used one soon. not much fun in england when its cold and things start to get all steamy!!
