Anybody tried dash covers to cover dashboard cracks - are they any good?
There are some pretty good vinyl repair people around who repair cuts in vinyl seats, etc. but from what I have read, fixing a cracked W126 dash this way seldom produces satisfactory results.
So what about dash covers? Are there different versions from different companies?

Quite a few:)
There is no good repair on these dashes unfort.
Some find the cover acceptable..I'd personally rather look @ dash cracks.
What colour is your dash? Best bet is fit a new (black is still available last I checked) or good used.

The dash is black. Perhaps a new one might be a solution over a used one. But the car has 250 K miles and I am trying not to invest too much more in restoring it than I already have. I am saving the money for engine repairs which will probably be needed in the future.
