1987 560 SEL tires

Hi fellas, Benz noob here. Just a quickie, the tires on it are i geuss the stock 15 inch P205/65R15, will P215/60 R16s fit? I bet they will, just making sure. Got this car about 4 days ago, original owner, full documentations, about 196,000 miles.

Thanks in advance.

That depends on the offset of the wheels.

There are excellent tires available in 205/65/15, why not just put high performance tires on the car and run the "high speed" pressure.

Thanks for the reply, but what is high speed pressure? I'm a domestic guy, So any special, foreign luxury car issues are new, still researching the car more.

The tire pressures should be listed on the inside of the fuel filler door. I run my tires at normal load (since I am not hauling) high speed setting.

I would highly reccomend Michelin Pilot Primacy tires, 205/65/15 V

These are summer tires, so they are the best all year tires for LA, although you may need summer/winter or all seasons.
