Whats the best way to get the bonnet back on?
hi i have a 1984 500sec, i have just had to re paint the bonnet and getting it back on seems tricky as the springs hold the hinges in a funny position..
i wonder if there is a special way of putting it back on??

If you just unbolted it from the hinges...I don't see what the big deal is.Get another person to steady the other side and bolt it up.Am I missing something?

it seems the hinges springs need to be stretched in order to get it back on. i wonder if this is normal as the bonnet was left open and flew up in the wind.???
