Question Power Locks, On-Off-On-Off-On-----

Hi All,

I have an '84 300SD. The locks worked fine when we got the car about a year ago, but last winter the locks malfunctioned, continually switching on and off with no stop (door buttons up and down, etc.)
I stopped the problem by disconnecting the electrical pump in the trunk, but no power locks.
I tried fixing it recently by removing the electrical cover from the same unit, and removing all corrosion with WD-40. I installed the pump and it worked fine for a day or 2, then the same old problem recurred.
The pump was running continually, warm to the touch. I disconnected it, and tried a spare from my parts car. Same thing.

Any ideas ?

Sounds like a vaccuum leak causing th pump to run.
